In the Light of That Last Stage

Blink quickly.
As if the past can be printed.

Sink into a chair.

Coffee holding steam
until it cools
and can be
scanned for signs.

Changes chugging
against the smudge lines of sky.

Clotted tears.

Like sparrows moving
within the winds.

Music.

Dragon flyers
dancing against
the tear drop rain.

Scoop up the present.
Fling it into the air.

Blink quickly.

So the past will
float down slowly

onto the snow white page.
