Marlboro
The strawberry patch is overgrown
Yellow River Ranch
ain’t open anymore
Smoking a cigarette never sounded so good
I’d give myself a black lung
if it meant I’d feel you again
B98.5 plays my kinda music
I got that from you
with a love for Christmas
These ornaments don’t hang
themselves right, Elvis
don’t sound as good as he used to
I won’t smoke
You never knew
but I wanted to try it
In the hot Georgia summer
sunshine sizzling our skin
smoke pouring from our lips
As we talked about old days
When I sat on your lap
too young to drive
My feet on the gas,
golf cart flying
across the front yard
You know, sometimes I wonder
If you ever knew
just how much I missed
Those days, those summers,
Wednesdays, and how I wish I said
I love you Before I said goodbye
